A devoted soul to human welfare Dr. Habib Siddiqui is a talented Bangladeshi writer, researcher and engineer. He has been working for more than four decades to establish world peace, especially for the rights of displaced people. The image of Bangladesh is also getting brighter through his activities. Myanmar, Bosnia, Chechnya and other parts of the world where the state governments are forcing their citizens to flee from the country, Habib Siddiqui becomes a protester there and hopes for the united cooperation of the peace-loving people of the world, including the United Nations, to stop this persecution.
Dr. Habib Siddiqui has also made appeal to people across the globe about the recent displacement of the Rohingya people through his articles and research papers. He has presented to the world, along with documents, the brutal killings and oppression of Rohingya people in Arakan by the Myanmar (Burma) government and army. In this regard, he visited Rohingya camps in Bangladesh and talked to them, wrote articles and published them in the international media.
Dr. Habib Siddiqui isn’t only protesting against the displaced Rohingyas in Myanmar, but also against the injustice done to the oppressed people in other parts of the world. Through this initiative, he himself has now become an organization. His reputation as an ambassador of humanity is spreading among the oppressed people. He took the initiative to create public awareness around the world by highlighting the horrific persecution of the Rohingya in Myanmar.
Dr. Habib Siddiqui has held a conference in Germany on Rohingya genocide committed by the Myanmar government and army. He presented a key note paper on ‘Rohingya Genocide’ at the seminar. It was attended by Gerald R. Ford of the School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Thammasat University In Bangkok, Thailand, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and the Arakan Rohingya Organization-Japan (JARO). Dr. Habib Siddiqui has written 16 books and more than 1200 articles. He has published articles on political and cultural history and heritage of the Rohingya. He has also written articles on human rights, religion, history, culture and Muslim civilization, international politics, the politics of Islam, political leadership, strategic and security issues, terrorism and democracy in the Muslim world with emphasis on the South Asia and the Middle East. It has been published in leading newspapers, magazines and journals and on the Internet. He was present at ‘Muslim World Almanac, 2008’.
This humanitarian genius of the world has written 18 books and more than 1200 articles.
Dr. Habib Siddiqui is a Director and Advisor to the NRB Council of the United States and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bangladesh Expatriates Council, USA.
Dr. Habib Siddiqui has a varied life. He is an alumnus of BUET as an engineer with a degree from BUET. Despite being an acumen engineer, he is still fighting for humanitarianism and peace. His wife, Eva, is a professor of physics at State University in West Chester, Philadelphia.
Dr. Habib Siddiqui is a sincere and realistic man. He is outspoken. Habib Siddiqui, a corporate thinker, has more than three decades of experience in manufacturing, research and development, engineering management, technology services and supply chains. He is also an internationally acclaimed personality. He has a reputation for operational excellence and prudence, especially in the process industry. He is the Director and Adviser to the MRB Council of the United States and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Expatriate Council of the United States. Over the past 25 years, he has successfully led the Six Sigma initiative of four of the world’s largest corporations (ASF, Merck, Rome & Hass and Vitco). Dr. Habib Siddiqui’s skill transformation process includes corner change, execution method, QualPro, PACE (product / process and cycle-time excellence) and overall quality leadership / management (TQL / TQM).
Prior to joining BASF in 2010, he was vice-president of a consulting firm and director of the Pharmaceutical Giant Center of Excellence, Mark, Research Division (MRL). He also worked for Exxon Research and Engineering and DuPont Engineering in the early nineties.
Dr. Habib Siddiqui is currently working as an expert to establish BASF activities effectively in the entire region of North America. Apart from being a humanitarian and engineering figure, he has also been the editorial reviewer of two journals.
He holds a doctorate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, as well as a master’s degree in nuclear engineering from the University of California and post-graduate degree in engineering management from UCLA.
