Sheikh Mohammad Danial was born in a respected muslim business family of Chittagong. He was born to 2nd generation businessman Sheikh Abdul Matin and Humaira Matin on 20th September of 1985. He is the eldest of the two brothers and has always remained inspired by his grandfather, Late Sheikh Abdul Khaleque, who was the visionary businessman and patriarchy of the family. Sheikh M Danial, graduated from the University of Canberra, Australia and initiated a potato export business called Mirage Agro Complex. It was the first of its kind in the country to concentrate on potato processing primarily for the export market. He is also a Director of Mirage Group, which has interest in Ready-Made-Garments, trading, and real estate.
He has always viewed the RMG sector as part of his broader identity, as his father Sheikh Abdul Matin, and uncles have been Garments exporters since the inception of the RMG sector in Bangladesh. He is married to Tasnia Quamrun Anika, who belongs to another RMG pioneering family, where all members are actively operating in the apparel trade, and his father-in-law being the former president of BGMEA, Mostafa Golam Quddus. Influenced by his family background, compassion for the trade and previous experience in the export sector; Sheikh M Danial along with his younger brother, Sheikh M Uzair, ventured into an eco-friendly RMG manufacturing plant, aptly named; Finesse Apparels Limited.
Finesse Apparels Limited is a ‘Green factory’ with state of the art technology. As the name suggests every aspect, of the company’s newly built factory at KEPZ of Chittagong, has been designed to create the perfect atmosphere for the finest of craftsmanship. Sheikh M Danial, has been instrumental in the development of the company’s commitment to sustainability. Finesse Apparels Limited adheres to the highest standards of global compliances in the fields of Social welfare, safety, and sustainability.
He has also been a sponsor shareholder of Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited, the fastest growing and only digitized Life Insurance Company of Bangladesh. From the inception of Sonali Life Insurance Company limited, Sheikh M Danial has played a role to assist realize the coveted vision of the company. He has been in the forefront for establishing alternative distribution channels of Insurance solutions.
He has achieved many accolades for his innovative work in the RMG and Insurance sector. He has interest in Insurtech, IT, Food processing, RMG and Insurance. He is an active member of his business and social community.
