Currently, Dr. Nuran Nabi is a sponsor director of NRB Commercial Bank Ltd in Bangladesh. He played a leading role to raise 65 million US dollars as the paid up capital to establish the bank. He is also an alternate member of the Board of Directors of American Super Specialty Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Dr. Nabi is one of the founding share holders and a former board member of Applied Research & Photonics, Inc (ARP) in the USA. In the past, he also served as the Senior Vice President in charge of ARP’s business development, and spearheaded the marketing and commercialization activities of ARP.
Dr. Nabi has worked 22 years for Colgate Palmolive Company where he served at various leadership positions including the office of the Associate Director of Technology. At Colgate Dr. Nabi was instrumental in developing the “Colgate Total” toothpaste technology, as well as an important member for business development and marketing team. Due to his initiatives “Colgate Total” line of products reached to $600 million annual business since 1996.
Dr. Nuran Nabi obtained BS Honors & MS degrees in Biochemistry from the Dhaka University, Bangladesh, postgraduate diploma in Microbiology from Osaka University, Japan and PhD degree in Cell Biology from Kyushu University, Japan. He conducted postdoctoral research work at the New York University Medical Center in New York on Molecular Biology during 1980–1984. Dr. Nabi has produced 50 patents and 50 publications to his credit.
Dr. Nabi is also involved in a number of investment and socio-cultural activities. He also serves as an advisor to the board of other socio-cultural organizations. Dr. Nabi has been serving as a Councilman of Plainsboro Township, NJ since 2007.
