Shehrin Salam Oishee, the youngest Barrister from Bangladesh to have received her Bar-at-Law accreditation at the tender age of 21, in 2012. She has been a member of the Envoy family since then, dispensing her responsibilities as a Director of the Group, with due diligence.
Previously, she had successfully completed her Bachelor of Law (LLB) from University of London (UK) while receiving an Oxford Merit Award for Outstanding Results. She has always foreseen herself as an entrepreneur and joining her family business was her inevitable choice. After she had completed her Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) from City Law School (CLS), UK, while receiving her call as a Barrister, from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, she joined the business with an internship in RMG.
Besides being an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, Shehrin Salam Ms. Oishee has pursued her 1st MSC from University of Dhaka in Criminology and Criminal Science, and a further LLM in Commercial Law from the University of Derby (UK). She is the Managing partner of the Law Firm, Legal Access, devoted to both Corporate and Litigation practice, besides being a Senior Lecturer for LLB students for the past 6 years in LCLS(S).
Shehrin Salam Oishee has recently been elected as the youngest Director of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA), followed by the election on April 4th, 2021. Her addition as one from the second generation young entrepreneur and a Barrister on board, truly adds more to the plate than just as a businesswoman. She believes that the RMG sector plays an exclusive role in Women Empowerment in Bangladesh and that she believes more women of her calibre shall be working in the apex institution over time to represent the mass female workers of the country.
Apart from being a businesswomen, a Barrister and a mother, Oishee, closely associates herself with many probono organisations, one being Physically-Challenged Development Foundation (PDF), an organisation dedicated to the welfare and upbringing of the disabled and underprivileged members of the society.
She is also the Managing Director of Packing Aid (Pvt.) Limited and the Chairman of Oishee Accessories Limited. Her legal qualifications help her grasp several business issues from a more diverse perspective than could otherwise be possible.
